Per Wikipedia: "The Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team (formerly the Marquette Hilltoppers, Marquette Warriors, and Marquette Gold) represents Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin." en.wikipedia.org I gather the alumni are not happy with this change? My local HS's nickname is the Wreckers. So-named because they "wrecked" another team's perfect season back 50+ years ago. As in, "yeah, we sucked so badly for so long, that our only joy was putting a blemish on someone else's stellar record." Now we are the team that strives for a perfect season and still have that stupid name and stupid mascot of some guy carrying a wrench. I guess "Warrior" was not politically correct at some point? I'd take Warrior over Wrecker any day. - Jeff
