Wow. I was thinking exactly the same thing. I agree with Powell rigging the market. I'm not sure if he's trying to re-elect Trump or not, but I think the Fed now believes that the stock market and bond market is the best way to manage our economy. The Dallas Fed recently admitted that with corporate bonds now up to $5 trillion, the companies in our economy are extremely sensitive to interest rates changes. So now, they are thinking the equilibrium rate is lower than in the past. My thought on this is that when we hit another recession, we will see negative interest rates for the first time. It's going to be a seismic event.
