This is a true and relatively recent story. A couple of Canadian redneck idiots decided to see how far they can go without stopping (I think they planned to go from Canada to Mexico). So they bought a lot of gas cans and filled their car with it to ensure they won't have to stop for gas. Then they realized they don't have passports and not to waste any time, they took to the roads to go over the boarder to where there'd be an opening. To their surprise, they realized there is a border checkpoint, and rather than turning around, they froze in the middle of the road. The guards found a lot of food and gas cans and dumb answers so they arrested them on suspicion of terrorism. They spent 4 months in jail until they squared off the whole affair and convinced the government that they are simpletons incapable of planning terror attacks.
