It is a little harder when the person feels that their religious dogma mandates a behavior that they personally find "disgusting" or "objectionable". Our not-so-loyal opposition are easily disgusted - it is in their brain - and they think that whatever they have been told is "not okay" is bad, they are repulsed by it and want it out of the material world. Now we can't mind meld them like Spock and give them insights... too bad. But they are sure they are right in their God's eyes. Hard to get them off the ledge when their Imaginary Friend is so sure you and those we support are so wrong. They think they are literally on a mission from God...
