Hank,

Babb's strategy looks very familiar with the strategy of Buffet's
teacher, a guy named Graham. When you read "Buffetology" you will
understand why this strategy doesn't always work out.
Buffet choose a different approach which we all now was far more
succesfull.

Comparing the two strategy's I would say that:
Graham would advice to short Dell,
Buffet would advice to buy (& hold) Dell.

I put my money on Buffet.

Dell is about the only short-pick of Babb I don't like. But I hope
he is right because I'm still waiting for a buying-opp. in Dell.

After doing some serious reading in the last few weeks I also want
to update you on a possible "depression". I'm convinced that the
Asian flu will not cause a depression, although there still is a
serious change for a big correction IMO.

The only change for a depression in the next decade is a world-wide
war or the Y2k-stuff. I really think it is time for you to do some
serious research on this subject. The best article about this is an
article on the MSN-investor side by a guy from Merrill & Lynch.
He's view is very close to how I see it. I tried to post the link
but I didn't work out. Look at their archive and you will find it
very easy.
The article will also help you to understand which sector's to
avoid (banks) and which not.

Best of luck with BROC, and I'm glad to hear to we will see more doom
& gloom posts about Dell from you.

Paul
