Actually, the easy part was getting long in early January when advances were swamping declines by a huge margin.

Nothing has changed. This market pauses for a few days and then rockets higher. It is the third year of the Presidential cycle. Trump has aligned his chances of winning in 2020 with a rising stock market at all time highs. All stops will be pulled to make sure this occurs. If the Presidential race is close, market will hesitate and correct 3-6 months before the election.

I went long GDXJ, VIG and NFLX this afternoon. I have been bullish since early January and remain bullish. I see no reason to change.

SPX 2820 held on a closing basis. Market sentiment is subdued. Lots of bears around. Actually, there are more bears than bulls.

Market has already discounted zero first quarter growth.

No reason to fight the Fed.

I am involved in the stock market to make money, whether long or short. I am a swing trader, not a day trader. I have close to 25 positions and will add more as market moves higher.

Buy high, sell higher. I align myself with the market. I have no axe to grind. I am buying widgets and riding the wave. That is what swing trading is all about. I love theory and philosophy, but the stock market has nothing to do with that.
