Hello Keith,

Huh? The concepts of "back" and "forward" are not part of the OS!
They are functions that are part of an application.

But that is just the point. In the demos that I have seen, Microsoft is leaning towards adding this as an integral part of Explorer ... not Internet Explorer ... but just the base Explorer.

That way when you are "exploring" your "resources", be they local or remote, you might click on your mail inbox, where there's a message containing a Word file, which contains an http link, which when selected would take you to a web page with an embedded Excel spreadsheet. You could then click "back" until you were back to your mail message.

You might open a Word file, then another, then another ... and then could use "back" and "forward" to move through the open docs.

Today they are part of an app ... tommorow they will be part of how you navigate through your destop ... if Microsoft continues moving forward.
