This is NYT blowing up the numbers. Even if "they" double the numbers or quintupled the numbers, you'd still have to take with a grain of salt virtually everything that Trump says. That's all I did, suggest that one would have to consider that the Trump statement you're hanging your hat on might be a lie. Every single thing that Trump has said about McCain in the last few days is incorrect. You'd have to be nuts to assume anything he says is true.
