I'm currently reading "Land & Power in Hawaii", a book I've heard about for 30+ years and that is well known yet largely ignored here in the islands.

Synopsis:

Republicans controlled the Territory of Hawaii up until Statehood in 1959...strictly for the benefit of big business(The Big Five landowners). Democrats took over at Statehood and transformed themselves into the Republicans by not only imitating the R's crooked ways, but aligning themselves with them and outdoing them at corruption, graft and greed.

Looking at the tone of the country today, it appears to me the D's are using Hawaii as an example for D actions nationwide.

Hard to see at this point how President Buffoon doesn't get Term 2.

Mueller had a long at bat and came up with nada.

SLPC(in other news) turns out to be a sexually perverted ponzi scheme.

Where does an honest, good intention-ed Democrat turn?
