If I were an entrepreneur like Dines I would look for any excuse to mention AOL and IOM, simply because the products/stocks are popular with some significant audience groups. I would want all of those people to be potential subscribers to my newsletter.

I hope that's the real reason behind his recommendation. Otherwise, given his track record throughout the '90s, his endorsement hardly qualifies as sign of better things to come for AOL.
