He's done several things that were spot on, imo, but there's one thing that probably won't last. He gave corporate America a big tax break to get them to stay and expand in America. He also said he would put tariffs on companies that produce overseas and ship back to America. When Dems get control back, they might leave the tax brackets alone but I feel sure they will take off the threat of tariffs.

No matter how you cut it, Trump and maybe only half of Reps are nationalists. Dems are internationalists as is probably half of Reps. Corporate America wants cheap labor, the American worker be damned. And corporate America bankrolls politicians. So there's the conundrum.

Trump himself is wavering on keeping tight limits on numbers of immigrants. Probably because of pressure by fellow Reps who are being pressured by corporate lobbyists. So my guess is that once Dems are in, it all reverts back to the way it was. Corporations go back to shipping jobs overseas and Dems open the gates to more immigrants than the economy can produce jobs for. Wages fall or stop rising and unemployment increases. Higher unemployment means higher welfare costs. And so on.
