Indeed, Quest is a bargain for the technology involved, especially when one compares it to the bloated price of the also unreleased Jaz2. Both sell for $600, but Quest has almost 2 1/2 times the capacity, uses MR tech, has faster throughput, and has a dual air-filteration system built in the drive to ensure clean discs.

Jaz2 should be toast. (Or, have to lower its price even before it's released.)

The Quest discs are also a bargain as well. For $200, you can expand your hard drive space by factors of 4.7 Gigabytes. Not bad. They are still pricy enough that SyQuest should see a healthy profit from these disc sales.
