CBS touted how many Americans want the Mueller report made public, but the network downplayed the real news.

Most Americans believe the investigation was not justified. Most Americans now believe the investigation was politically motivated.



Asked if the investigation was justified or politically motivated, only 37% said justified.

Hillary got 48% of the vote.

Indeed, 33% of Democrats polled said the Mueller investigation was politically motivated.

At the bottom of the CBS story, it reported, "Looking back on the investigation, most Americans say the investigation was politically motivated. Back in January, when asked about the investigation as it was ongoing, half at the time called it justified."

58% of Americans want Democrats in Congress to drop the investigations and move on to other issues.

Ashe Schow of the Daily Wire reported, "CBS sent out four separate tweets about the poll on Wednesday. The outlet’s poll Twitter account did not include the chart about people thinking the investigation was 'politically motivated.' It included all the other points brought up in the article. CBS’s main Twitter account also made no mention of what poll respondents thought of the motivation behind the Mueller investigation."
