To all: What? Vical now the Ligand thread? General: heard a reasonable sounding interp. by an analyst on Cnnfn...noone can anticipate impacts of Asia'a woes just yet (of course), fund managers moving out of growth into valuation stocks. Makes sense if you're expecting a downtown, hence anticipated lower earnings, anticipated lower prices. Looks like our dreams for these more speculative ventures is going to sit for a couple of quarters, unless there is astoundingly, wonderful, terrific good news. Interesting nuts and bolts type article on westcoast shipping: shipments on docks waiting for letters of credit for Asian importer, orders cancelled, will take some time...to work out...to start seeing the impact in trade balances.
