I'm curious what might be the tax implications of this buy-out. I've owned APU for many years and received substantial dividends with very little income tax liability due to their write-offs of capital equipment as an MLP. Considered it a "golden handcuff" holding that I could never sell without a big tax hit. Anyone have experience or knowledge of this type of buyout? UGI is a corporation rather than a partnership. The takeout price is about the same as what I paid many years ago.
