I had APU for several years and was accumulating via the Scottrade DRIP mechanism for which you didn't have to reinvest in the same issue that generated the income. When TDAmeritrade bought them out they ended that program and I got the proceeds in cash. It seemed to me that it's price went up in cold winters and down when it was warm. With patience I think the price would have gone up again. The managers don't seem to have that patience.
