Hi Bob,

I worked in commercial art for about 6-7 years after discharge from the Marine Corps. I was good enough to keep a job but not good enough to make any money. So I changed careers and made the money. But, I swore to myself that I would get back into art when I retired. That's exactly what I did when I retired some 15 years ago.

I moved to southern Arizona 3 years ago, bot a home with room for a full studio and began teaching myself to paint watercolors. I now have my work on display and have actually sold my first piece. That's not a goal as I don't really want to part with any of my stuff. I'm my own toughest critic and all I want to do is get better as I go along. I paint every day, as much as I want, but still save time to watch a sunset, take a walk, hang out with like minded friends and keep a lazy eye on what's going on in the world.

Life if good! I'm enjoying my retirement and I'm thankful for the good health that allows it. I'm never bored!

Good to hear from you. I lurk on many of the boards you frequent, but I'm essentially out of the market.

Ken
