Alright here is one. On Bloomberg TV I watched an interview of the CEO of CVX one night as I was trading futures and he was discussing the Permian in a lot of detail so I started some research on the major players in the Permian and bought CVX, XOM, OXY, RDS.B, & WTTR. That group of stocks has made a significant amount of money for me in a very short period of time (in addition to paying some handsome dividends) Had I not seen that interview, I would not have likely bought so many of the companies and would not have committed as much money to the play as I did. That is just one example. I have learned about commodities trends, currency trends, world and emerging market stock market trends etc in great detail from that service. I trade on the information all the time. But, I usually only watch it at night leading into the European market open. .
