Craig, -you wrote- " I saw that someone on The Motley Fool said that according to Vicker's, IBM owns 970,000 shares of ANCR as of the week of 1/18. I went back to the Schedule 13G dated January 20, 1997, and they had 865,000 shares, down from 1,200,000 in 1995." I just got off of the phone with Steve Snyder(CFO) and he thought that there has been no change in IBM's ownership in the last year. It was his opinion that the 970,000 shares was in error(i.e.- too high). I also asked about the timing of the Sun announcement for a switch vendor and he said that there may not even be such an announcement until after the vendor of choice starts shipping. He went on to say that this might not be until the second half of the year. He also said that they were looking at an fourth quarter earnings release date of Feb 17. Craig
