Trump intends to nominate Herman Cain, former chief executive officer of Godfather’s Pizza, for another open seat at the Fed. Cain ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. He promoted a 9-9-9 plan, which would have replaced much of today’s tax code with 9 percent taxes on sales, individual income, and corporate income.
You can tell a biased hit piece about Mr 9-9-9 when they leave this bit out of his bio when discussing his potential nomination to the Fed:
Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
Cain served as chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from January 1, 1989, to December 31, 1991. [2] He became a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992. [2] He served as deputy chairman from January 1, 1992, to December 31, 1994, and then as its chairman until August 19, 1996, [2] when he resigned to become active in national politics. [27]

If Obama had appointed Cain to the Fed and Fox news left off this qualifying information from Cain's resume, I'm sure MSNBC and CNN and probably Bloomberg would call them racists.
It just fascinates me how hard it is to get any decent, unbiased, information these days. |
