They blocked the pointless legislation because it is yet another assault on abortion that has no basis in reality. What it would have done is make more obstacles to abortion that do nothing but complicate things.

And then, per usual, you zoom off into insanity.

There is no such procedure as "partial birth abortion". There is a procedure call "intact dilation and extraction". That procedure is illegal to use on a living fetus. Has been for decades. Now it can be used on a dead fetus. How you plan on keeping one of those alive is beyond me.

Passing laws to make illegal things illegal is about as pointless as things can be. Which seems to be a big thing in the Republican party.
