No, I think the same thing. The responsible thing to have done is what you said, but then Obama would not have been re-elected and the Fed basically acted to get him re-elected. If the Fed was as dovish under Trump, we'd definitely have overheated and we'd have seen inflation. So the Fed is late to the responsibility game, but then they got suddenly dovish with cold feet. It shows that the Fed is in a trap. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. I personally would like for our stock market and our economy not to be manipulated by the Fed. In other words, we should give Capitalism a try. It works far better when 13 bankers and the Fed aren't manipulating the price of money and obscuring market signals, which underpin all capital project valuation calculations.
