Yes, in a corporation there is a BOD. Certainly, in the casino operations there were boards of directors.

I will just say to you that in my years as a practicing CPA I saw success and failure. Seldom did I see success without previous failure. Perhaps the reason I have greater respect for entrepreneurs who succeed is that most have had to be able to come back from one or more disaster scenarios -- a process which provides great strengthening.

We all remember the greatest entrepreneur (Jobs) was fired from his own company, went and founded a couple other businesses -- one of which became Pixar. After which Apple begged him to come back, he did, and created a string of successes that changed the world. Which was always his objective.

Pixar was close to not making it multiple times. Next "made" it only long enough for Jobs to buy them out when he got back to Apple. And he shitcanned more than project partway through. Microsoft shitcanned Word a couple times as well.

Texas wildcatters developed what is now the petroleum business -- arguably the most important business of all in terms of its positive influence on people of all cultures. But they faced failure after failure before they didn't.

Don't knock failure. It says at least a person is trying.
