MARINA DEL REY, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Quarterdeck Corporation (Nasdaq: QDEK) today announced it has designated ServiceWare Inc. as its official provider of PC solution knowledge bases for REALHELP and REALHELP Extra Strength, the Company's products for the prevention, monitoring and repair of PC problems and conflicts.

Under the agreement, ServiceWare licensed its Knowledge-Pak(R) support management knowledge bases to Quarterdeck for use in REALHELP's Find-A-Fix feature, which saves users time and frustration by providing a singular mechanism, instead of multiple resources, to quickly locate solutions to almost any computing problem. The ServiceWare content consists of a suite of HTML-based documents which are categorized into three principal areas, PC diagnostic, Windows 95 and Office 95 problems, and are accessed through a local search engine that runs user queries against those documents. For small and medium-size businesses, Find-A-Fix is an essential tool for reducing the total cost of PC ownership and empowering users to quickly find solutions themselves without having to rely on technical support personnel. REALHELP's modular design also facilitates the easy inclusion of additional Knowledge- Paks, including Multimedia, Office 97 and Internet Connection knowledge bases, which will also be provided by ServiceWare and made available to REALHELP users.
