So the next recession absolutely could be devastating from a stock market losses perspective, as well as a business failures perspective. But the banks will do just fine.

Sounds like more of a 2001-02 repeat likely but with more widespread asset bubbles, high debts and younger generation in much worse shape? Bay Area and Seattle housing markets should suffer a devastating crash?? Likewise Houston, Dallas, Denver and Austin very exposed? Tough times high costs for middle and even upper middle class NYC now even with DOW 26k. What will happen there when it gets cut in half again? We're sitting in a better situation in the south these days. Oh the irony...

I just checked Seattle has under three months single family inventory for sale not pending... We ain't there YET..
