Comcast Completes Acquisition of Long Distance Carrier GlobalCom

WAYNE, Pa., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA - news, CMCSK -

According to David N. Watson, president of Comcast Cellular Communications, Inc., the

''Many of our business customers have told us that having long distance as part of a total package
of communications solutions from Comcast would add tremendously to their productivity and

Comcast Telecommunications is headquartered in Bala Cynwyd and, according to its president,
Nate Cohen, ''offers customers much more than just a cost-effective alternative to AT&T, MCI and

''We've become a leader in the telecommunications industry as a result of our commitment to
providing our customer with excellent service and the latest in technology. Being a part of Comcast
further strengthens this commitment,'' Cohen said.
