conference call: visibility is poor for short term predictions.... however...... they are quite confident regarding profitability....i.e. no losses going forward.... gross margins should be maintained at the 40% level... no share buyback being considered at this time.... believes they will prevail over hutch re: HIF based upon price...quality and comparability of competing products not an issue at all they will be one of two companies in the world producing flex circuits... at this time the second company is unknown....but could only be 3m or ibm... drive maker orders are shifting as makers try to understand short term needs..... therefore lack of short term visibility going forward... may begin supplying completed suspensions in 1999..... they believe...on a yearly basis.....unit growth in disk drive shipments will continue as before....
