My reasoning is that IF I were to invest in software, I would buy a market leader like Microsoft or a leveraged long shot like alphamicrosystems (ALMI) who is also a niche player, but with a far better balance sheet than QDEK. ALMI has $12 million in cash. It's hot products are internet data mining and data harvesting. They are making new products using microsofts "Active-X" technology. I see INTRA-NET being big in the near future and ALMI products fit. This isn't to say that ALMI isn't also high risk, but at 2 and change, it's leverage is more favorable.
