Chris, there are many examples that Christ, during His earthly ministry, was bringing His message to His chosen people, the Jews.
"5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:5,6
Also He was teaching based on the Davidic covenant (water baptism) and the Abrahamic covenant(circumcision.)
Since His ascension into Glory we are under NO COVENANTS. Rather GRACE alone. This is why the apostle Paul speaks of "my Gospel"(Romans 2:16, 16:25, 11 Timothy 2:8.) and uses the term "the Gospel of the Grace of God" when referring to his Christian ministry.
