Paul and All. Drugs.
Are you checking out the drug stocks? Did you go back in? Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Drug analyst just declared Merck her No. 1 pick in the drug sector. She likes your former SGP, BMY and Pfe the best but thinks Pfe is the most expensive one in the sector at this time but has a good longterm outlook with a good pipeline. She mentioned 1 more but I forgot. She also said that AHP still looks cheap and is at a 20% discount. Nice feeling to have a No.1 drug stock from 1 analyst in the portfolio, no matter what happens. You know that Merck has always been my favorite due to their R&D.

The news on Intel looks good. They just discussed this upcoming announcement of a fast internet connection - should be by Dec. - which will include CPQ, Intel, Msft and the local bells. This could be tremendous for us. Just think, we won't need an ISP anymore, can go direct to the net, don't need a separate line for the telephone, can use the phone while online and we can leave the cpt. on all day. And the connection speed will be 30 times faster than 56 k technology. Wow.

Only 1 problem. What will happen to my 3Com? And I still have problems with SI. I was on but could not send a post out again. Was only able to go on through the home page without logging on. It's working again. It is either too busy or still has trouble with bonking.

Wow, I can't believe that drug sector. Sonki must be jumping up and down if she went into all the drugs she talked about. And I did tell her not to forget BMY and WLA.

If all this stuff about the net comes to pass keep an eye on those 3 mentioned techs.

Mark Haynes from CNBC made some fun of ML this morning. About time. He was pondering the idea that ML has that stupid grading system of stocks. ML made waves this morning about CPQ and Dell, saying unit growth in that sector will slow, cut the estimates on Dell from 100 to 90 when it was still at 93 but left things at a buy. I guess even those guys on CNBC catching on to that stuff. Now if ML could wake up and do some decent grading like buy, hold and sell. Forget this attractive, accumalate, strong buy, weak buy and you name it. Buy, hold or sell should do it.
