One thing different thing about me than most. Is I do not align with any political party. I what I align with is what is best for the country's economy. If it is poor the people suffer. When it is good job market has plenty of openings. Jobs are plenty and people who want to work have sufficient incomes to support their families in a comfortable lifestyle. The single remedy for that cannot be found in any single political system.

John F Kennedy a Democrat worked for those goals. So did Ronald Regan both in opposite parties. George Bush was far from my Choice.
But I believe Al Gore with his Green agenda as a priority would have been worse. Obama failed to abdicate that agenda. As a matter of fact he further promoted it. It slowed the recovery out of the recession bottom compared to previous times. And it cost $80 billion per month of tax payers dollars in Q/E programs. A cost which could have been lessened by loosening the strings on business allowing them to flourish with less restraint.

What I do not like about far left or so called Progressive democrats is that it restrains business by regulation, over taxation and granting excessive power to unionization.
It escalates production costs drives down profits and results in the manufacturing industry to seek a friendlier location. In turn creating layoffs of American workers. Jobs then are created in lower cost regions like Mexico, China or other countries in the Orient. While the bread lines grow at home.

I do not fathom how people think this loss of employment benefits the average working American.

Now I'm not saying workers are not entitled to a fair and decent income. They certainly are. But business cannot provide that nor grow more jobs if they are struggling under government regulation and tax load.

My priority is always country first. Politics collects votes by exploiting the All About Me greed in people who blindly believe the BS they are fed, failing to examine the long term effects or end result of what is being proposed.

Having built a reasonably successful 50+ year business career starting from nothing, With less than grade 12 education perhaps tends to influence in my thoughts. At times It took simply refusing to quit or give up against all odds.
Comical or not. No one handed it to me. and I am not ashamed of what I accomplished in life.
