The democrats tried to pull a fast one (may still succeed) on us in Mn. Proposed a .20 cent a gallon tax dedicated to roads. What they didn't publicize is that they would move the current funds dedicated to roads to the General Fund. So net we'd get about a 5% increase in road money in return for %billions in new gas taxes.
