Why on earth do you say that? Vulnerability means open to attack, while one can be empathetic with or without another person's knowledge. That just means capable of understanding another's feelings. Which might be weakness for a warrior/hunter, actually. We had a pretty good debate somewhere, on Rambi or Feelies, about who would have more empathy, men or women. It is my opinion that empathy would be selected for in women but not men. Women raise children, you need empathy to assess the needs of an infant. Women also by and large maintain the culture, and do more interactive scoial activities. I would think that empathy for a hunter would be a problem. Same goes for the guys that need to protect thier village from marauders. And with all due respect to your amazon women, armies made up of women are the exception just as societies which contain men as the primary childrearers are. In fact, I can't think of a one.
