as to p/e....given their potential technologically.... they shouldn't be priced totally relative to dd sector p/e's.... but no doubt, that will not change. not to mention..... in the short term they will be the only company, or nearly so, related to disk drives that isn't losing money..... that too has value if you believe they have a future as well. also......it is doubtful any of the dd makers have a clue right now how long the slow down will last in terms of unit volumes.... it is far too early to cast a judegement as to time frame....if nothing else, they have everything to gain from here...and not much left to lose short of a world wide recession lasting more than a few qtrs...which i wouldn't totally discount either, as you know.....but storage is still an essential component of a number of programs...not just individual pc sales....and like food, there may be a diet, but not a complete inability to consume.... yikes.... what a poorly formed analogy.... okay... im winging it. but i still like the story and i'm staying long. Joel
