Alec, Cost of my cable modem was $100 and service for $35.00 a month from MediaOne. Well, upstream I'm 50x faster than ISDN but downstream I'm still 28.8. I download 99% of time and the speed great, almost instantaneous. Only time I need to upload is if I'm trading some pirate warez. For the extra $15 clams a month, I don't have to sit and wait for pages to load. I download Netscape Navigator Stand-Alone (8 Megs) in 20-30 seconds. I'm buying a house soon and the thought of having to go back to 28.8 if the local cable can't provide internet service gives me cold sweats and chills. My $0.02 Ty Smith
