Most sites allow us to select I Got It or I Understand or ESC rather than blocking access to their site by their customers. How much revenue do you get when your prevent your users from using your website?

We implemented a notice as required by GDPR.
This seems absolutely untrue.

Since returning with my dedicated purpose laptop, I see only a small fraction of the posts I was reading prior to your unfortunate implementation choice for GDPR. i.e. The site is much less valuable to me.

e.g. Scaramouche was a valued resource usually posting multiple times daily, He hasn't posted since Feb 25,
Many other valued contributors have also disappeared.

You could choose to implement a less drastic compliance with GDPR or you can continue with the current approach which is substantially reducing the value of SI and increasing the value of your competitors such as IHUB. Advance notice of the impending change would have helped in February. Too late for that now.

If you choose a less offensive GDPR option,an email to your users advising of the change might get some of the traffic back.

But I suspect that your choice has permanently destroyed SI already.
