Hey Bob,

If you know what you are doing, collectibles can be a very lucrative hobby / business. Half the battle is understanding the markets. I had to look up the Nomad and have to admit, I don't recall seeing one. As a kid, I noticed the corvette and a few others and everything else was a "car".

When you said everything gets disassembled to "one piece", I envisioned that scene from "Doc Hollywood". The mechanic gives him a can and says there are "always parts left other after he puts it back together."

I imagine there are occasions such as the floor pan where it is a good idea to call in an expert. With the background you have it also gives you insight into who is an "expert you can trust".

I have very little mechanical ability but like cars and find the topic intriguing. Unfortunately, I already have too many hobbies, but will follow your restoration with much interest. Is there a thread here on SI for the topic? If not not. you should start one. I am betting there would be quite a bit of interest and participation.

Would love to see pics of before and after!
