Jim, I think you are absolutely right that its the word itself that is the problem.

It's very hard for a man to view himself as vulnerable when he has to function in a dog eat dog world every day. And you are right, women dispise weak men, unless they have a problem and need that.

But, that is not what a woman means when she says, "vulnerable" empathy is a more suitable, but I'm not sure it conveys the whole meaning.

Good insight, you are well on you way to "sexy vulnerability/empathy" in my book.
