I pretty much agree with everything Thehammer wrote. MMM is viewed as a dependable company paying a dependable dividend. It is rarely, if ever, cheap. I own a lot of MMM, so I am fine where I am. If I were looking to add, I would personally wait a bit and see how things look and feel. But don’t take my advice on when to get in—I am no good at timing. I think those who think MMM is going to drop to $150, though, are mistaken, barring a market meltdown.

FWIW, I did play a game with MMM over the past 9 (?) months, though, that paid for my very first RMD. More of a game than an investment, though: Buy low, sell high. :-))
