Chances are Chester will eventually pick up this nonsense unless you "fix" Charlotte.

Had the same problem with a Boxer but were able to somewhat overcome it using baby steps. We'd leave the house for 5, then 10, then 20 and so on minutes / later hours. After doing this dozens if not 100's of times, he was ok for up to 4 hours.
