MMT only works in deflationary times and only to the extent that productivity allows. If technology and deflation from outsourcing would result in deflation of 8% then you can print 8% of money supply.If you want 2% inflation you can print 10% of money supply.Now as this money is not distorting like taxes are it allows further increase in productivity and allows further money printing. If the money is spent to improve infrastructure which further increases productivity it allows more printing Works best with reserve currency
