| | | | That is interesting. I wonder how effective we are at tracking them after they are released, and like you said, if they show up for their hearings 2 years later? The whole process is broken in my in opinion. We don't let in the most qualified, educated, tech workers, but we let in the law breakers and disaffected. We don't choose properly and I believe we have a right to choose who we let into this country. They should benefit this country as well as receive benefit from being here. It is a two way street. I think unless we address our laws and immigration processes that are broken, this will continue to be a mess. One law I'd pass would be to end the policy of allowing a person to be a citizen just because they are born here when their parents are not citizens. End the tourist citizenship fiasco. No other country does that. This would be just for starters. I'd also prosecute companies who hire illegals, require a centralized registration database to confirm citizenship status of employees, before hiring, and I'd prosecute people, leaders, cities, and states who provide sanctuary to illegals, because providing sanctuary is a sanitized way of saying they are aiding and abetting a fugitive from justice and obstructing justice. Both of those things are crimes. |
