Always in issue in relativism... when there is not anything providing any fixed point of attachment. The only thing that provides that today... is an awareness of history. Of course, if people learned history... ? Fake news has its parallel in fake history ? It's up to you to learn what's true... Politically, that's almost never possible without taking in the whole spectrum of opinion... while also noting what the news of the day reveals about short term objectives... tactics as opposed to fundamental beliefs... as well as longer term direction... as that is exposed in the give and take in the politics of the day. Fake news... in that context ? What does it mean when "the media" all say the same thing at the same time... making a mockery of real opinion or analysis ? Haven't been watching Canadian media in a while... but, don't see Canada doing less to suppress free speech rather than more willingly surrendering to the thought police.
