5/3/2019 Contest update
With the White House refusing to honor congressional subpoenas, a constitutional crisis is inevitable. But, as far as Wall Street is concerned, all is well in the world and stocks continued to make new record highs.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 18.25% YTD (vs. up 15.90% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI) was up 11.52% YTD (vs. up 10.86% YTD a week ago) and the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI) was up 19.85% YTD (vs. up 21.15% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI) was up 23.04% YTD (vs. up 22.77% YTD a week ago).
BULBA’s portfolio, up 76.17% YTD, remained in first place, with OHM’s portfolio, up 63.33% YTD, holding on to second place, while HOOD’s portfolio, up 60.23% YTD, took over third place.
At Friday's close, 34 of the 39 Contest portfolios were still in the green, while 26 continued to beat the NBI and 17 were now beating the SPSIBI.
The 167 Contest stock picks have an average YTD gain of 26.82% and a median YTD gain of 15.97%.
