I had the same problem today. All these ads kept popping up and then I noticed my blocker wasn't showing. I tried to install the extension but it said to check my network connection. I backed up my bookmarks and uninstalled firefox. After a reboot I reinstalled firerfox and downloaded my extensions and now I'm back to normal. PIA
