Then there is the "Commerce Clause" in the Constitution, which
has been used many times to impose Federal Law on private cos.

The Commerce Clause makes FB and Twitter subject to Federal
Discrimination and fairness laws, as well as all 1st Amendment
protections, and Fed Election laws. Fed Election laws might
determine that FB & Twitter cannot help Dem campaigns without
declaring their help as a campaign contribution, or require them to
equally help GOP campaigns.
