Market is waiting for nondisappointing news like a breath of fresh air. Networkers and telecoms coming thru, my sense is that sentiment is at a short-term pivotal change up. Riding QCOM, BAY and CSCO long (deja vu). Waiting to short calls on LU for a Feb short straddle.

IBM down 6+ afterhours, big boys did not like forward guidance of weaker first quarter due to Asian currency weakness, to be resolved in second half of '98. Watch the box makers tomorrow.

Oh, IMRS closed at a new high. Limit to sell at previous high plus commission did not trigger today, maybe tomorrow.
