I disagree. No president prior to Clinton monetized it like him. Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Eisenhower, Truman ...
None of them became wealthy as a result of being President, although some were before. Clinton set a new standard, Obama will likely exceed him.

Many Senators, Congressmen and Governors make a few million from their "service" but nobody else has done anything like the Clintons.
