Al, I just got back from Imaging Expo in New York, the industry's 2nd largest show. Cornerstone had a very significant presence there, many of their presentations appeared to be standing room only (unusual for this show), and the employees seemed upbeat about the quarter just ended. The jump from 6 to 8 is probably in anticipation of upcoming quarterly results.

I should state that my company works with Cornerstone's products, but I have no investment position in CRNR (yet).

Imaging Magazine has always been a Cornerstone booster, so I don't know how much significance I would read into that article. For juicier news, check out an article by Bruce Hoard on page 8 of the June 1, 1996 issue of Imaging World magazine (the other trade rag). In 1/2 page you will understand the reason for Cornerstone's current predicament.

By the way, I agree that LANs will always be faster, but I don't know that processing speed is seen as such an important market differentiator, as opposed to opennes of architecture and product features.
