Howard........Is it possible CPQ is sitting nuetral for last few days because all the Magellans (world's largest mutual fund who recently revealed it sold all their CPQ, INTC and MSFT (?) to reduce tech exposure) and other such large block buyers are waiting to see earnings and C.C. projections before moving in and re-acquiring?.........There are two ways to look at it (and I must confess I'm not sure which is most accurate):.. 1) Most of the big buyers are already in the know and don't want in at this time, or... 2) They got out to lock in '97 fund gains/lessen risk in a faltering sector last 2 months but really DON'T know CPQ's earnings and projections any more than we do and are truly waiting tomorrow's results before they go back in with a vengeance before they miss out on their '98 funds' performance?.......I guess after tomorrow we may have a better idea what all this sitting in a tight range has been all about.........George
